Subway Shigella Outbreak Lawsuit

A Shigella outbreak at a Subway restaurant in Lombard, Illinois has caused approximately 125 confirmed cases of Shigella Sonnei, and likely over a thousand total illnesses.  DuPage County health officials closed the restaurant for most of the month of March 2010 to conduct its investigation, and ensure that the restaurant had been decontaminated. 

Marler Clark represents 76 people who fell ill due to Shigella infection after eating at the Lombard Subway.  On March 9, the firm filed a lawsuit on behalf of a family from Wheaton, IL, whose twelve-year-old son became violently ill with shigellosis after eating at the Subway, two more lawsuits were filed on March 12 and March 16.
